Outfit of the Day: What a jean-ius idea.

In my head, that was a play-on-words with "genius". We were granted a jean friday today, so yay! Except my jeans were too long and I didn't remember to hem them. Which meant wearing heels all day. That part wasn't exactly genius to me, been a long time since I wore heels for 8 hours plus.

Jeans- Gap (gift from my friend Vivienne)
Shirt - Forever 21 (worn here)
Cardigan/Jacket: Anthropologie "Cascading Tulle"
Shoes: Anthropologie "Sweater-Cuffed Booties" by Schuler and Sons

From a previous outfit, but the same shoes.

Weekend time! Hurray! Anyone have any awesome plans?

What Jess Likes: "Window" Shopping

A little outfit I put together "window" shopping.

Love the sheer top with the floral bralette underneath.

Constructed Swing Jacket - Anthropologie $198
Orange circle lace? Hello Tuberose Lace skirt and Compeer dress, wonder why I like this coat...

Trim the Twee Boot - Modcloth $49.99
Always a sucker for wingtip designs on shoes.

Oh the joys of window shopping.

Outfit of the Day: Mad for Plaid

Plaid, oh you lovely pattern. You make me think of fall, cozy sweaters, and cups of tea. I went with the cozy sweater in this case.

Steadfast & Whimsy skirt - Anthropologie, Knit sweater - Nordstrom Rack, necklace - vintage, Sweater-Cuffed booties - Anthropologie

Do you like to wear plaid, or does it make you think of the 90's grunge scene too much?

The back of this sweater is what drew it to me, it adds a great and unexpected touch to a pretty basic outfit.

I still feel like I am not 100% better from my cold a few weeks ago, but almost there. It doesn't help when my husband gets sick right afterwards, it's like a horrible game of cold-tag.

A bit different...but not really?

Oh another day with pants on!  I am feeling lazy, tights are too much effort...so jeans it is.  I do not think boyfriend style jeans are the most flattering cut for my shape, but they are super comfy and feel like warm fuzzy pajamas, so that is good enough for me.  I wore them a lot during the summer with flat sandals and fitted shirts on top, so this is a bit of different take on them.

I also found a good indoor spot to take pictures I think, except for the picture behind me.  Adds some colour though for those days I wear all black?

It Snowed!

Well snow has finally touched down here but it is almost gone, melting away.  It was really nice to wake up this morning to all the white, made the start of the day seem so bright and cheery.

It has been a very busy and slightly stressful week, but I have the weekend off, and I am trying my best to enjoy it as much as possible.  I might go and try to get some Christmas shopping done tomorrow.  We are not having a big holiday this year, and most of the present for people will be ordered online since my family is pretty scattered.  I do need to pick up a secret Santa gift, and few little things here and there though.  I am usually a last minute shopper, so every year I keep on trying to get it done early, doesn't always work though!

The weather just makes me want to put on soft and warm clothing.  All of these pieces are repeats, except for the silk shell (Jcrew).
